Well, we just wouldn’t be a rental car company if we didn’t love going for a scenic drive on St. Croix, now would we? While there’s lots to do by foot and fins, sometimes there’s just nothing like rolling down the windows, putting on some good tunes, and hitting the road to take in the sights.
Some of our favorite moments in the car are when you crest the top of the hill at The Buccaneer, the peak of The Beast, feeling nestled in among the vines and trees of the rain forest, and rounding the bend of Grassy Point.
Our Top 3 Favorite Scenic Drives
- North Shore Road is a winding jaunt along the coast. You’ll pass steep ocean bluffs, historic sugar mill ruins, beautiful Cane Bay, and breathtaking views the whole way. There are some great places to stop along the way for a snack, too!
- A drive through the rain forest puts you deep within the island’s flora and fauna. Other things you may encounter include beer drinking pigs, an organic farm, and an old dam.
- The East End Loop is about a 12 mile drive along rolling hillsides and the Caribbean coastline. You might even make pit stops at Divi Casino and Ziggy’s gas station. Of course, you’ll also want to take the scenic drive out to Point Udall.
