If you are a foodie who enjoys trying a variety of local foods wherever you may be traveling, we have the Perfect Day on St. Croix for you! For starters, we’ll recommend that you pick up pastries from one of our many popular bakeries to have on hand for breakfast. If you’re staying in Frederiksted, check out Sweet Bites on King Street or in Christiansted, stop at Thomas Bakery near Sunny Isle on your way from the Airport. Don’t eat too much though because you’ll want to save room for what’s next!

Virgin Islands Food Tours offers a Taste of Twin City Food Tour with stops at six local food treasures. You’ll experience authentic local cuisine and learn a little St. Croix history along the way. Tours run on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:30am and last 3-3.5 hours. We suggest that you do this tour near the beginning of your visit to St. Croix so you can discover restaurants you may want to dine at again. Plus, you’ll receive coupons for the various restaurants that you tour!

You’ll wrap up your tour mid-afternoon and might feel ready for a nap, but before you do, take a stroll around Christiansted for a few foodie souvenirs. Various shops in town offer Crucian hot sauces, honey, jams, and more. If craft beer is your thing, take a load off at BREW STX, enjoy a pint of local beer and add a pint glass or t-shirt to your collection.

After such an indulgent day, you need the perfect cherry on top — a delicious dinner of local cuisine, fresh, locally-caught fish, or Caribbean lobster. If you’re staying in Frederiksted, check out Rose’s Dream Cuisine or Villa Morales, on the North Shore try The Waves at Cane Bay, or Christiandsted’s Bombay Club or Savant, followed by a nightcap at BES Craft Cocktail Lounge.
